"We seek unique and delicious Italian foods from small artisanal producers and want to share them with people around the world who appreciate exceptional quality."

BEGINNINGS

Born into an old Florentine family, Count Carlo di Pamparato, the founder of Giribizzi, spent his childhood between homes in Florence, Rome and the family estate near San Giminiano.

It was here, among the Tuscan wheatfields, olive groves and vineyards, that he first developed his appreciation of food; the colours, scents and vibrancy of the fresh produce of the region is still evocative of those sunny childhood days where harvests were collected and transformed into delicious preserves to last the families through the leaner months.
Later, when the family moved to Piedmont in northern Italy which is famous for its culinary reputation, he was introduced to many inspiring artisan food and wine producers.  There he was taught to care for the land by a ninety-year-old farmer (who still walked 3km every day from his home to the farm).  His mother taught Carlo and his brothers how to make jam from the surrounding apricot trees and sauces from the homegrown tomatoes, cooked slowly over a wood fire in the kitchen.  These were the experiences which helped shape Carlo’s love of the flavours of Italy and the traditions which gave structure to the year.
THE BIRTH OF A BRAND…
It took 25 years of a successful career in finance before Carlo, now living in London with his family, found his way back to exploring his early love for Italian food traditions.  Through travelling the globe, he was regularly reminded of how sharing good food created connection and joy.  People were looking for authentic food experiences and this encouraged him to create the Giribizzi brand: a way to promote the true quality of Italian food beyond the standardized commodities which have become staples in so many of our kitchens.
